Mrs. Katie Tran

Hello! My name is Mrs. Katie Tran, and I am the 9th-grade Earth Science teacher at DGF. My favorite pastimes are reading, traveling, kayaking, playing with my puppy, and spending time with family and friends. I am a born and raised "Fargonian", but have lived in Grand Forks and Crookston. My hero is Ms. Frizzle. This is my 8th year teaching.

This past summer, I took a trip with my husband to Oregon. We went to Cannon Beach to see some puffins and did a little tidepooling. I was also able to meet and shake hands with a Great Pacific Octopus at the Oregon Coast Aquarium! We then traveled inland to Mount Hood and saw 13 different waterfalls along our hikes within the Columbia Gorge and Silver Falls State Park. See some of the pictures in the photo reel to the left!
