All phones should be put away and on silent mode. I know that most students carry their phones with them, however, the expectation is that phones should not be seen or heard unless otherwise specified by the teacher. If students need to use their phone during class, they must first ask and get permission from Mrs. Tran BEFORE using their phone.
First Offense: Phone will be taken away for the rest of the day. The student may pick up their phone at the end of the day from me (Mrs. Tran).
Further Offenses: Phones will be taken away for the day and brought to the front office. An incident report will be filled out.
A flipped classroom is a type of learning where students are introduced to new topics at home, and then practice the new content at school through labs and activities. In the case of Mrs. Tran's classroom, notes are done at home by watching the online videos and completing the note guides.
All videos for the Unit are made available on Google Classroom the day after the test from the previous unit. A "Lecture Note Checklist" accompanies each unit that includes the titles of the videos, video length, and due dates. Each topic may have 1-5 videos, spanning from 2-15 minutes in length. Students will have, on average, 30-40 minutes of homework to complete per week.

Set up a time with Mrs. Tran to make up a lab (see times below). Labs must be made up within 1 week of original lab dates or credit will not be given. If you will be gone for over a week and are unable to make up the lab within the week allotted, students must speak with Mrs. Tran BEFORE the week is up. Labs can always be made up early.
Before School (7:30 - 8:00am)
After School (2:50 - 3:30pm)
Study Hall (12:15 pm - 12:30pm)
Email Mrs. Tran your question. I will email you back and add the question to the FAQ page for future reference.
