Our History 

• Opened as a private school - July 1st 1907

• Opened as Gunwi Public School - September 1st 1911 

• Officially approved as Gunwi Kindergarten - January 1st 1994

• Transferred from Gyeongbuk Office of Education to DMOE - July 1st 2023

• The Head of School, Kim Bong-su, has been inaugurated - September 1st 2023

•  IB PYP School’s candidacy period officially began - November 7th 2024
