Ms. Doose

Welcome to 6th Grade.

I wanted to give you a quick introduction. I have been in District 58 since 2002, and I spent the first ten years of my teaching career at Herrick Middle School teaching Reading and Language Arts. I recently finished a Master's Program in differentiation and am currently in ESL endorsement classes through St. Francis University. My one child, my daughter, was a DG58 student (PD and Herrick), and I feel blessed every day for her education and the community the district had created. I am further blessed with a wonderful family, friends, pets, and a life and career that I truly enjoy and have been extremely grateful to have. My passions include Bruce Willis, action/sports movies, reading, crafting, Da Bears, playing cards and games, and most types of puddings (not instant). I have seen many things I wish I could bottle to see always, and I have experienced such loss that my heart aches just thinking about it, but the one thing I know... more truly than anything else... that in each and every student, each and everyday, I see hope and possibility. Thank you for that.

For my students... I can only hope to make each one of you realize that an education gives you choice and opportunities in life. Please do not underestimate the wonder of an education. I look forward to our year. Peace Begins Within. Ms. Doose
