Statement:

As a Bernie Victory Captain I hosted over 30 events. I’m a lifelong Midwesterner, first generation college graduate, and national parks/public lands enthusiast. My father lost his good union job following NAFTA in the 90s and my mother survived cancer. My story mirrors many other Minnesotans, which is why since I turned 18 in 2008 I have fought for hope and change. I strongly supported Bernie Sanders in the presidential primary because his campaign speaks to the fundamental problems working class and poor families are facing. I hosted 16 Get Out The Vote shifts, and 16 other phone banks, door knocks, and movement building parties. I sent over 10,000 texts and traveled to knock doors in Iowa and Nevada. The movement that the Sanders campaign built, a strong multiethnic and multigenerational coalition of working class folks, must carry our values forward to the convention, the election in November, and beyond. As precinct captain in Saint Paul Ward 4 Precinct 12, I have also volunteered for DFLers such as Keith Ellison (10,000+ texts with Text Troop) and Nelsie Yang (door knocks) and look forward to doing more in 2020. Thank you for your consideration for female national delegate for Bernie Sanders.
