DEPARTMENT OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS - OFFICE OF TREATIES AND LEGAL AFFAIRS

The Office of Treaties and Legal Affairs is responsible for providing legal assistance to the Department on matters concerning the interpretation and application of Philippine laws and regulations, treaties, conventions and other international agreements. It has won the Department's Best Organization award twice in 2019 and 2020 for having conducted programs and projects which significantly benefitted the Department and the Philippine international law community. Some of these projects include the treaty seminar on the 50th Anniversary of the Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties; Law of the Sea training; updating of the Philippine Treaties Index online; the hosting of the 7th Biennial Conference of the Asian Society of International Law which was attended by 400 delegates experts and practitioners of international law; and most recently, the Webinar Series on The Hague Conference on Private International Law (HCCH) Conventions attended by at least 800 participants from the Philippines, and Embassies and Consulates worldwide.

DEPARTMENT OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS - OFFICE OF UNITED NATIONS AND INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS

The Office of United Nations and other International Organizations is responsible for Philippine participation and negotiations in the United Nations as well as providing staff support and policy guidance in the coordination, supervision, monitoring, integration, reporting and operations of the Philippine Government in the United Nations and its specialized agencies and other international organizations. It shall also serve as the secretariat of all Philippine national Commissions and Councils created pursuant to commitments in the United Nations and its specialized agencies.

DEPARTMENT OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS - OFFICE OF THE UNDERSECRETARY FOR INTERNATIONAL ECONOMIC RELATIONS

The Office of the Undersecretary for International Economic Relations (OUIER) serves as the core office that oversees the formulation, management, and implementation of Philippine international economic policies in the conduct of Philippine relations at multilateral, plurilateral, regional, and bilateral levels. THE PHILIPPINE EMBASSY AND MISSION IN VIENNA

The Philippine Embassy and Mission in Vienna, Austria (Vienna PE/PM) enjoys a unique position as both a bilateral and multilateral foreign service post. Under the leadership of H.E. Ambassador Maria Cleofe R. Natividad, Vienna PE/PM is working progressively towards establishing itself as a science diplomacy-centered post while intensifying the Philippines' overall bilateral relations with Austria, Croatia, the Slovak Republic and Slovenia. In the multilateral front, Vienna PE/PM pursues and advances Philippine national interest at the various multilateral organizations in Vienna such as the UN Office on Drugs and Crime, UN Industrial Development Organization, UN Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space, UN Office for Outer Space Affairs, UN Commission on International Trade Law, International Atomic Energy Agency, and the Preparatory Commission of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization.

THE PHILIPPINE SPACE AGENCY

The Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA) is the primary policy, planning, coordinating, implementing, and administrative entity of the Executive Branch of the government that will plan, develop, and promote the national space program in line with the Philippine Space Policy.

The agency was established by virtue of Republic Act 11363, “An Act Establishing the Philippine Space Development and Utilization Policy and Creating the Philippine Space Agency, and for other Purposes”, also known as the “Philippine Space Act”, which was signed by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte on August 8, 2019. As mandated by Section 5 of R.A. 11363, PhilSA shall focus its Space Science and Technology Applications (SSTA) development on six (6) Key Development Areas: 1. National Security and Development; 2. Hazard Management and Climate Studies; 3. Space Research and Development; 4. Space Industry Capacity Building; 5. Space Education and Awareness; and 6. International Cooperation.

The PhilSA envisions a Filipino nation bridged, uplifted, and empowered through the peaceful uses of outer space. In line with this vision, the mission of the PhilSA is to promote and sustain a robust Philippine space ecosystem that adds and creates value in space from Filipinos for Filipinos and the world.
