Create an FSA ID

Great video to walk you through creating the FSA ID. FAME Education is a Maine Department of Education resource. They just seem to have the information before us. So you won't need the FAME Maine tracking sheet, but it does offer good information about your FSA ID.

*Some of the most common FAFSA errors occur when the student and parent mix up their FSA IDs. If you don’t want your financial aid delayed, it’s extremely important that each parent and each student create his or her own FSA ID and not share it with anyone, including each other.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid is a form completed by current and prospective college students in the United States to determine their eligibility for student financial aid.

*FAFSA is useful for helping pay for college expenses such as tuition, room and board, and textbooks.
