We allow ourselves to be governed by
Even though new beginnings are hard, we believe in NEWNESS OF LIFE. Pray for the thrill of discovery: The spirit of revelation! We want other people to be “open” to new life. How about us?
The one organizging question in Messianic Judaism, the one question that we have to answer day by day to apply to our lives, the one question that both Jews and non Jews will ask and many will want to actually kow the answer is:
More foundations: today's "one thing" is the quick outline
G S A M Y A C
sometimes called the Seven Steps to Knowing the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob
I believe this is the over-all explanation of God's Plan
A silly little neumonic I wrote +/- many years ago when Linda and I headed the CBY youth ministry to teach the Seven Steps:
Sams a little birdie, and he quack quack quacks
once you get him started he’s all yac yac yac
Once you get him started he just won’t turn back
Never heard his equal: Gee Sam Yacs. (okay it's silly, but it's how I remember these keys to life...)
You will make known to me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
In Your right hand there are pleasures forever. Psalm 16:11
Psalm 34:9 Oh taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who trusts Him.
Isaiah 59:2 Your iniquities have separated between you and your God and your sins have hidden His face from you so that He will not hear.
The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked. Who can know it? Jeremiah 17:9
Isaiah 64:5 But we are all as an unclean thing; and all our righteousness (good deeds) are as filthy rags.
not good works, not sacrifices
Leviticus 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood; and I have given it to you upon the alter (in the temple) to make an atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes an atonement for the soul.

Leviticus 16:29 “This shall be a permanent statute for you: in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you shall humble your souls and not do any work, whether the native, or the alien who sojourns among you; 30 for it is on this day that atonement shall be made for you to cleanse you; you will be clean from all your sins before the Lord. 31 It is to be a sabbath of solemn rest for you, that you may humble your souls; it is a permanent statute. 32 So the priest who is anointed and ordained to serve as priest in his father’s place shall make atonement: he shall thus put on the linen garments, the holy garments, 33 and make atonement for the holy sanctuary, and he shall make atonement for the tent of meeting and for the altar. He shall also make atonement for the priests and for all the people of the assembly. 34 Now you shall have this as a permanent statute, to make atonement for the sons of Israel for all their sins once every year.” And just as the Lord had commanded Moses, so he did.
not good works, not sacrifices
Isaiah 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way, and the Lord has laid on Him (the Messiah) the sin of us all.
Revelation 3:20 "Behold I (Yeshua) stand at the door (of your heart) and knock; if any man hears My voice and opens the door, I will come to him and fellowship with him and he with Me"
2 Corinthians 5:17 If any man is in the Messiah he is a new creation; the old has passed away and all things have become new.
2 Peter 2:8 For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor unfruitful in the true knowledge of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah.
