Bannon Clark who some may know as Yungbc graduated from Palm Desert High School last year and is now at ASU where he is majoring in Journalism. Bannon started creating music while he was in high school with a group called Intel$ and is still working on his music now that he is in college. He has some new music content that has come out that he is calling his “quarantine style live set.” Along with this new quarantine set, Bannon created some new merchandise and even got models and a full photoshoot for it. He got COVID a little while ago and took the opportunity while he was quarantining to write many new songs. He expressed that ASU “has opportunities and resources that are through the roof” as far as music goes. While at ASU Bannon has been making friends that are from all over the country and even Canada, so now he is “in the mindset of not just creating music for my people in California but for everyone”. Creating music for different people has helped him move into different genres and styles. His song “Mixed Emotions” got played on the radio which is something he expressed “ he never thought would happen.” In addition to his music, Bannon is taking Math, English, Journalism, Grammar, and Spanish right now and talked about how the classes “aren’t crazy hard but there have been some late nights of studying.” He is loving the college experience but explains that, “college is a different ballgame compared to high school, you really can’t slack or put things off.” Bannon advises people who are still in high school to “enjoy every home-cooked meal” before leaving for college. He expresses that this is something he misses now that he is away. His final advice is for everyone to “trust your own ideas and do well in school.”
