Description: All of us got into the field for a specific reason or reasons. We, and others, had this idea as to what teaching would be like. We went to college, earned degrees and even student taught. However, let's face it, there are lots of things no one ever told us. Things we had to learn from jumping in head first with 30+ students on day 1. This keynote is focusing on all those things no one ever told us. It has some humor, but really focus on the fact that we as teachers can make a huge difference and offers supports and ideas to help build relationships, engage students and also laugh a little.
Description: There are so many teachers myths out there that can really affect how we as educators feel about ourselves. This keynote addresses 5 of the biggest teacher myths that get in our way. There is some humor but it is mostly inspirational and focuses on that fact that every educator is amazing. Don't believe the myths, you are amazing.
Description: This keynote is specifically designed for K-2 Educators. It focuses on the fact that coding and robotics are majorly important in today's world. We cannot keep using the excuse that they are only in K-2. Coding and robotics play a major role in the world today and our students need to have access to this early on. This keynote focuses on the "why" of coding and robotics in the K-2 classroom as well as the "how". It is more of an instructional keynote that shows examples and even gets the attendees using the materials hands on with coding tasks! (Yes I bring some robotics materials with me for this).

This keynote is all about building relationships with coworkers, administrators, parents and educators from all over the world using social media. Learn some effective ways to kill them with kindness (without sucking up), get parents connected and build your PLN using Twitter. This keynote is more of a how to style with some humor along the way.
