Wind Ensembles

Palm Desert Charter Middle School's Wind Ensemble is an audition-only performing ensemble. It is an advanced concert ensemble whose students are also a part of the only middle school competitive marching band in the Coachella Valley. The Wind Ensemble performs at various events each year including the SCSBOA District Band Festival, Rock The House, and the La Quinta HS Brigade Blast. Over the years, the Wind Ensemble has received multiple Superior ratings at festival and has had a number of students be part of the California Band Director's Association All-State Honor Groups Ensembles.

The PDCMS Concert Band is for second year band students or students with sufficient previous musical experience on an instrument. In this group, students will enhance their musical and technical skill needed to advance into Wind Ensemble. Most of these students are also part of the PDCMS Marching Panthers. The Concert Band performs 4 times a year including district band festivals.

The PDCMS Cadet Band is for first year band students with little to no previous music experience. Here they will be selected for an instrument and learn to play it. In this band, students learn basic music theory and fundamental techniques required to play an instrument.
