FAFSA/CSS Profile

Financial Aid begins with the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) or the CADAA (California Dream Act Application)

Submitting a financial aid application is a graduation requirement.

The first step is to create an FSA ID. Each student and each guardian will need their own login credentials: https://studentaid.gov/fsa-id/create-account/launch

PLEASE NOTE: Make sure you are on the official FAFSA website which has "studentaid.gov" in the title. Never give credit card information on any site claiming to represent the FAFSA. The FAFSA is free.

There are approximately 250 colleges/universities in the U.S. that require you to fill out the CSS Profile in order to award you their money (this is separate from the FAFSA). You only need to fill this out if the college or university requires it.
