Meet the Team

Coach Ruby Ayala is from the Coachella Valley and is an alumnae of Indio High School. While at Indio, she was involved in the Cheerleading program for 4 years, 3 of those years on the Varsity Squad. Coach Ruby was a UCA All-American cheerleader her junior year as well as a Varsity Captain her senior year. After high school, she attended the University of California- Irvine, where she graduated with a Bachelor's in Mathematics while simultaneously receiving a Single Subject Mathematics Teaching Credential. She is also a Mathematics teacher at Indio High School. Coach Ruby will be finishing her 4th and final season with IHS Cheer.

Coach Maria Garcia is from the Coachella Valley and is an alumnae of Indio High School. While at Indio, she was involved in the Cheerleading program for 3 years, 2 of those years on the Varsity Squad. Coach Maria was a USA All-American cheerleader her senior year as well as a Varsity Captain her senior year. After high school, she attended College of the Desert and the University of California- Riverside, where she participated in the UCR cheer squad as well as received her Bachelor's in English. She previously was a cheer coach at Bobby Duke Middle School and is currently an English teacher at Indio High School. Coach Maria will be going into her 5th season with IHS Cheer.
