Community Education provides lifelong learning opportunities for all ages in our community!

Community Education is a department within each school district in the state of Minnesota. This statewide, school-based network connects local people and resources to improve schools and communities.

How to Register for Community Education Offerings:

1.      Visit www.desch.org

2.     Click on the Community Education section.

3.     Review the CE Fall 2024 Catalog for program descriptions.

4.     Click on the registration login page, ensuring you select Community Education 2024-25 (as it is a new fiscal year)

Important:  Please use a personal, non-work email for registration, as some employers block external links and forms.

D-E Community Education Advisory Council

The Community Education Advisory Council is mandated by the state of Minnesota and serves to advise the Administration and the Board of Education about issues relating to Community Education.

Meeting Dates/Times/Location

(2024) March 18, April 15, and May 20 from 5:15 - 6 pm 

2024-25 Dates:  

Elementary in the staff lounge.  

If you are interested in serving on the Community Ed Advisory Council, email susankellerschaefer@deschools.org 

We are always looking for area community members to show off their skills and make a little extra money.  Classes or camps for youth and adults.  


Fitness, health, cooking, gardening, finance, arts, retirement, and any kind of youth learning and playing are all very requested classes.
