JV Soccer's Season Until Now
JV Soccer's Season Until Now
Although I was sent to report the JV soccer game against South Oldham, the game unfortunately got rained out, so instead let’s review the JV season as a whole up until this point.
Game 1 Vs Oldham County: L 0-3
Desales held Oldham to only 1 goal in the first half, but unfortunately they couldn’t recover in time for Oldham County to score another 2 at the end of the second half. Clayton Mann, left back for JV, feels that it would’ve been closer if it wasn’t their first game.
Game 2 Vs Eastern: L 0-4
Although Desales had the home advantage, they couldn’t stop the non-conference Eagles from putting up 4 goals on them. Unfortunately, Desales’ schedule doesn’t get any easier from here.
Game 3 @ CAL: L 0-1
This was Desales’ toughest opponent yet, but they ended up playing their best game of the season so far at CAL. They had multiple opportunities to try and tie the game up at the end, but they unfortunately couldn’t punch it in after 2 corner kicks.
Game 4 Vs Fern Creek: L 0-2
Desales had another home game against Fern creek, but 2 quick goals in the second half with 15 minutes left sealed the game. Although Desales has been competitive in every game, they just haven’t been able to win against this tough competition yet.
Game 5 Vs South Oldham: Cancelled
The JV soccer team for Desales may be 0-4, but their record doesn’t show the full picture. They haven’t gotten blown out yet, and they have been competitive in most games they’ve played. If they can stop the late goals, the only way from here is up.
