Today we’re going to find out more information about Kingston Merritt with an interview. Merritt who has 658 receiving yards on the year which leads the state. When asked about that he says, it’s all within my team. He is very humble with the answer saying he couldn’t do it without his team, his line, his quarterback, the fans and his coaches. He also mentions his quarterback putting him in the right spot and his coaches drawing up the right plays. That is what is helping him to have the record for the most reviving yards in the state. Kingston is very honest about the season saying that they have had their ups and downs, but he mentions how that comes with the hard schedule they are playing this season. They have prepared for this, he said and they are going to bounce back and finish the year strong and make some noise. You can notice watching and being at these games that there’s chemistry without the whole team, especially with Cameron Bischoff his quarterback. He says it goes back to freshman year with them being together and becoming a duo and knowing each other. He states that this year with him being a senior to not take anything for granted, it’s their last time to all play together and wear DeSales across their chest. He says God is his role model, talking about how he has always been there for him through everything. Playing football in college has been a goal for Kingston if the opportunity is there. The rest of the season is going to be domination and will go be scary in the playoffs.
