Old Rivals Meet Again

The DeSales Colts take on the CAL Centurions this Friday at 7:00. This is going to be a very tough matchup for the DeSales Colts with CAL ranked #2 in the state. While I think the Centurions will win, the Colts can have a fighting chance. 

      When you look back on the season, many of the Colts’ losses were only by a few possessions. For example a really good team the Colts lost too was KCD. In this game they lost by 12 points. On the first kickoff of the game the Colts fumbled the ball and the Colts lost possession. This simple error put the Colts down by 7 points. In another big game against Holy Cross, the Colts fumbled on the kickoff as well. While these errors didn’t cost the Colts that game, they made the game more difficult. My point is if the Colts can start strong and have a clean game they can compete against any team. 

     Another reason the Colts can compete with CAL is because they have constantly been improving. In the very first game of the season blocking was a major struggle for the offensive line. As the season progressed, they have gotten better. The colts are hot right now and everything is in motion. The defense has heavily improved and the offense is HOT.
