This Friday night, September 26, the DeSales Colts (2-3) take on the Bishop Brossart Mustangs (2-3). The DeSales Colts are coming off a blowout win over Southern winning 44-0 lead by quarterback Cam Bischoff (SR) passing for 252 yards with two touchdowns to receiver Kingston Merritt (SR). The Colts are ready for their next game and here is why.
The DeSales Colts are a veteran lead team with multiple seniors starting such as Cam Bischoff (SR) who has just broken the all time passing record at DeSales Highschool. Kingston Merritt (SR) is a receiver for the Colts who had 233 receiving yards against KCD earlier in the season. The Colts have a lot of leadership for the younger guys which is something that you can not find in many different football programs.
The Bishop Brossart Mustangs who are also (2-3) have not played much competition compared to the Colts who have played some of the best teams in their division such as KCD. The Mustangs have also only scored 20 points in their last 2 games while the Colts scored double that in their last game against Southern. However, this means nothing in terms of the game; the Colts have to be ready for every game after the rough start to the season.
All in all, the DeSales Colts are ready for their matchup this Friday night and know what they need to do. No matter what happens out there though, the Colts will remain together as brothers because that's what it is all about.
