Kentucky Basketball has not had the season that they were looking forward to. From beating the #1 team in the country Purdue in the preseason and looking very promising to have multiple starter injuries and causing a great downfall. All of Kentucky's problems started when jayland lowe hurt his shoulder in a Kentucky scrimmage game. The guy that is supposed to be running and controlling the Kentucky offense has had to deal with this injury throughout the whole start of the season. Another big problem has been our poor shooting from outside. Kentucky went into this season thinking that they would be able to just outshoot every team and that would win us games, but that was very wrong. They went on a cold streak against some good competition and ended up losing by a big margin in those games. One of those games against Gonzaga, Kentucky lost by 45 points. This was the 3rd highest losing margin Kentucky has had since the shot clock era. This team has had many games where they look like they don't even care or are trying on the defensive end and rebounding. With Kentucky's win the other night against a decent Indiana team it looked like things kind of clicked for them. Hopefully they can start putting things together and realizing what they need to do to win games. Jayden quintance is expected to come back very soon and that could be the big difference for Kentucky basketball.
