Clayton Mann

My name is Clayton Mann. I am a student athlete at Desales High school where I play basketball and soccer. My favorite sports teams include the University of Kentucky, the Miami Heat, and the Chicago Bears.  From a young age I have always been influenced by sports; throughout my life I have competed in basketball, soccer, volleyball & swimming. Sports have taught me to work harder, be more disciplined, and how to be part of a team.  The reason I took this class was to see the other side of the sports world with writing and statistics. My favorite athletes are Tyler Herro, shooting guard for the Miami Heat and Bryson Dechambeau, a professional golfer for the LIV golf tour. These two athletes, though in completely different sports, have a very similar mindset. Both of these athletes have a great work ethic and a positive attitude that has ultimately led to tremendous success. I try to model my work ethic and mental toughness in sports and in daily life after these great athletes.
