Fourth graders in Ms. Martell’s ELA class practiced persuasive writing and creativity by designing their own Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade balloon. Each child wrote a letter explaining why their balloon should be chosen and created a colorful illustration to match their idea. The class then voted on their favorite balloon.
Dear Macy’s Parade Committee,
I strongly believe you should choose my balloon. The paint palette would look amazing in the sky with all the other balloons. The colors would be vibrant. I also think my balloon would be appreciated by parents because it shows kids to be creative. Parents would also appreciate how it makes kids have a creative and colorful imagination. As you can see,my paint palette should be chosen for the parade.
Sincerely ,
Londynn
