Paltok Elementary School started as an annex of san Francisco Elementary School until it became an independent school on October 24, 1962. There were fifteen teachers that time headed by Mrs. Azucena Palileo. The school had eight (8) rented building scattered in the community. The Santos Building and Abiad Building on Matias St.; Guevarra Building on Guevarra St.; Bustamante Building on Zorra St.; Alvarez Building on Kundiman St.; Miranda Building on Anak Bayan St.; Nautical Building on Aragon St.; and the main building, Piga Building, on Ilagan St. as principal of the school.
As the enrolment increased, several rented buildings were added to the school like the Apura Building on Zorra St.; Francisco Building on Mendoza St.; and the Mijares Building on Kundiman St.
With the help of the PTA President, Emeterio Abiad, Col Eladio Isleta, and Engr. Gregorio Garcia, a corner lot on Matias St. and Mendoza St. was acquired. Two Marcos type buildings were constructed and after several years, another Bagong Lipunan Building rose. Presently, the school has two three-storey building with 23 classrooms.
