RATIONALE

Novaliches High School has consistently maintained its status as one of the top-performing  schools in various journalism contests, including the District Press Conference, Division Secondary Schools Press Conference, Regional Schools Press Conference, QCYMCA Search for Outstanding Campus Journalists, Teodoro Valencia Search for Outstanding Campus Papers and Journnalists, and the National School Press Conference. Hence this tradition must be sustained.

   ▪ SPJ is a four-year course in journalism at the junior high school level, designed to develop the learners' skills in mass communication, print, online, and broadcast media. 

   ▪  The program supports the tenets of RA 7079/Campus Journalism Act of 1991

   ▪ Anchored on the school's mission/vision to produce graduates who are globally competitive among others, it is therefore compelling and rational for NHS to offer SPJ.
