JCMPSHS LAUNCHES PROJECT

“A.K.A.P”

(Ayudang Kaalaman Alay sa Palmanians)

In response to the challenges brought by the distance learning, Justice Cecilia Muñoz Palma Senior High School initiated the Project A.K.A.P (Ayudang Kaalaman Alay sa Palmanians) in the whole month of June 2021 to reach out to Grade 11 learners who were at risk of failing in Mathematics, Science and English subjects. Through Project AKAP, students shall be able to enhance their literacy, numeracy, and scientific skills, address the least mastered skills in Reading, Math and Science, and instill the “Bayanihan” and volunteerism spirit among teachers, parents, and learners in the new normal learning set-up. The said series of remediation program was facilitated by teacher-volunteers in each of the learning areas headed by Mr. Jonniel M. Caadan, T III and in-charge of English with the assistance of Mr. Judilo C. Mappala, MT I, for the mathematics and Mr. Jimm B. Mira, T III, for science. After each session, “AKAP Buddy Circles” shall be formed with selected and qualified Grade 12 student-volunteers to assist the struggling Grade 11 learners. This shall be done via Messenger where learners can ask questions and be guided by the student-volunteers.
