Learning Support
The following are already in place and have been continuously observed to ensure that the children get the most of learning. All these resulted to a remarkably increased enrolment in BES.
· The conduct of intensive community mapping for all school-aged children.
· Easy access to a child-friendly school.
· The practice of inclusive education to pupils of the Special Education.
· The conduct of Project IRACC, a math remedial program for children with difficulty in Math.
· The conduct of Isipnayan, an enhancement program for advanced learners of Math.
· The conduct of various remedial reading programs for the enhancement of the learners’ fluency and comprehension skills such as HAPAG, Tutok-Basa, BRAINS, Project CARE, and Project MIRACLE.
· The availability of various instructional and learners’ materials such as books, desktop computers, tablets, robotics equipment, and TV monitors in each classroom.
· The creation of Gratis Store where learners can get available materials needed for classroom use.

With the belief that learning takes place not only in the four corners of the classroom, and that parents’ support is vital in the achievement of the maximum potential of the learners, BES conducts regularly and even joins the District and the Division in the following activities:

Health and Nutrition
As BES nurtures the mind, it also nurtures the body through:
· Continuous feeding program for all pupils of BES sponsored by BES Friends.
· Insurance coverage for all pupils
· Various feeding programs of different stakeholders (Ma’am Nela and BES Friends, Ma’am Anna Lagman, Rotary Club of Quezon City Southeast, and the School-based program.)
· Regular conduct of deworming and dental checkups to pupils.
· Sagip Ngipin, a project of the Philippine Dental Association Quezon City Chapter, for the Kinder pupils.
· Regular canteen monitoring by the Quezon City Health Department
· Distribution of first aid kits per classroom
· Distribution of individual hygiene kits to pupils
· Distribution of hard hats per classroom
School Improvement and Facilities Monitoring

Teachers’ Professional Development and Instructional Competence
Because the teacher is one important figure in the teaching-learning process, BES encourages its range of faculty members to develop themselves professionally and personally.
· Quarterly Teachers’ Observation for showcasing of best practices in teaching and learning.
· Four teachers are all master’s degree earners, two in the field of math, one in special education, and the other one in management and supervision.
· Two other teachers are currently working on their thesis while most BES teachers are on their way to finishing their master’s program coursework.
· All teachers regularly attend seminars and trainings geared towards personal and professional enhancement.
· Teachers actively participate in Learning Action Cells (LACs) in different areas.
· All teachers take part of the Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC), an array of online courses offered by the US Embassy.
