San Roque National High School was founded by virtue of the Republic Act No. 9673, thru the initiatives of Hon. Congressman Marcelino “Marcy” Teodoro, an act establishing a national high school in Barangay San Roque city of Marikina to be known as San Roque National High School. This act was passed by the House of Representative and the Senate on December 03, 2008 and April 22, 2009, respectively. The said act was approved on July 17, 2009, by former president, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. It aims to provide secondary education to the graduates of primary school living within the vicinity of San Roque.

As I set foot to the threshold of this institution, I am captivated by the slogan it exhibits, “SRNHS: Driven, Resilient”. Indeed, San Roque National High School has been unceasingly taking to heart its virtues perseverance, commitment, and teamwork.

As the new Officer-in-Charge of this school, it is with pride and honor to continue the school’s best practices in the field of academics, inclusive education, sports, journalism and the SHS tracks it offers. With the unceasing support from LGUs, SDO-Marikina City and other internal and external stakeholders, I affirm to uphold the school’s virtues and integrity to carry out its programs, projects, and activities to better serve and deliver quality education in our community.
