Partnerships Convergence: An Appreciation Dinner for Partner Industries
DepEd Order No. 30, s. 2017, stated that one of the purposes of the K-12 Basic Education Program is to build in learners the competencies, work ethics, and values necessary for furthering their education and/or entering the workforce. As a result, work immersion has been introduced into the curriculum to offer learners with opportunities to become familiar with the work environment, engage in employment simulation, and apply their competencies in an authentic work context.
Hence, obtaining partner industries for the Work Immersion program is a challenge for the School Partnership Focal Person especially after the pandemic. Both private and public sectors are involved in providing actual work experience to our Grade 12 students in different strands. These industries allowed the use of their facilities and provided training on accomplishing work-related tasks.
Their contribution in enhancing the skills of the students is priceless; hence, expressing gratitude to them is a way to establish lasting partnership. Furthermore, Partnerships Convergence: An Appreciation Dinner for Partner Industries provides an opportunity to celebrate their efforts and commitment in making the work immersion program a success.
