2. PROJECT SEAL (Sustaining and Engaging Active Linkages) is a project that involves partners and stakeholders not only as active users but also as potential providers of the GPP nursery. In doing so, this now becomes a functional one.
Through the years, the GPP nursery has always been functional since it has established partnerships in the community. Barangay Naruangan and Parents have been constant benefactors in providing seeds, forest and fruit bearing trees for the Nursery. Once they hear from their children about the seedlings grown at the nursery, stakeholders such as that of parents and barangay officials come and ask for seedlings for them to plant at their backyard and barangay communal garden respectively. In return, they also share plants and fruit bearing trees that they cannot see from the nursery. Project SEAL has been supported by a MOA to build stronger partnerships between and among the school nursery, barangay and stakeholders.
3. Project GEAR (Gulayan Education Advocacy and Responsiveness) is an advocacy campaign of the TVTS La Guerta to cascade its best practices of organic gardening to stakeholders particularly to parents to respond to the call of healthy living. Project GEAR promotes home gardening which reduces a family’s daily food expense and the numbers of those nutritionally at risk. With the help of the TVTS La Guerta, each family is trained to develop a home garden which is TVTS La Guerta inspired and will later produce a continuous and sufficient supply of vegetables for the family every day, thus; slowly making them self-reliant.
4. Project VERMI
Vermiculture is an eco-friendly process of culturing earthworms and involves harnessing an entire ecosystem consisting of earthworms, beneficial bacteria, and plant root zone for treatment of wastes.
