HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
Tabuan Provincial Community High School was officially established on June 1, 1995, to provide accessible secondary education to students in Barangay Tabuan and nearby upland communities in Bayawan City, Negros Oriental. As a provincial community high school, it was founded with the support of both the local government and the Department of Education, reflecting a shared commitment to expanding educational opportunities in rural areas.
Before its establishment, students from Tabuan had to travel long distances to attend high school, which posed a significant challenge for many families. The school’s creation addressed this need and became a vital institution for the community’s educational and social development. Over the years, it has steadily grown in enrollment, resources, and academic programs, becoming a cornerstone of progress in the barangay. In March 2024, the school celebrated its 29th founding anniversary, highlighting nearly three decades of service, community involvement, and dedication to shaping responsible, patriotic, and faith-driven learners.
