The table illustrates a significant and consistent improvement in the Mastery Performance Scores (MPS) of learners in Values Education/Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao (Grades 7–10) for School Year 2025–2026 across the first three quarters.
In the first quarter, the overall average MPS was 80.61, indicating that learners were still in the developing stage of mastering the competencies. This increased to 82.19 in the second quarter, showing noticeable progress in learners’ understanding. By the third quarter, the average MPS rose sharply to 85.20, reflecting that learners have already reached a higher level of mastery of the required competencies.
All grade levels demonstrated improvement each quarter. Grade 7 showed the most remarkable increase, from 80.00 in the first quarter to 85.99 in the third quarter. Similarly, Grade 8 improved from 80.26 to 84.58, Grade 9 from 81.60 to 84.74, and Grade 10 from 80.56 to 85.50. These consistent increases suggest that learners are becoming more familiar with the lessons and assessment methods over time.
Overall, the data indicates that the teaching strategies, learning activities, and interventions implemented were effective in enhancing student performance. The sharp rise in the third quarter suggests improved engagement and deeper comprehension among learners.
