HISTORY

Nagbalaye High School is a promising secondary school in Sta. Catalina South District.

It is located in the southern part of Negros Oriental, 84 kilometers from Dumaguete City. NHS was opened through the effort of Mr. Licerio Napao, OIC, Office of the SDS, Division of Negros Oriental last June 23, 2008 occupying the Home Economics building of Nagbalaye Elementary School, with 107 pioneering first year students taught by three teachers headed by Mrs. Glenda B. Nunez as the Teacher- Incharge. Five months after, NHS was relocated to its present site, a half hectare lot donated by the Barangay Council of Nagbalaye occupying a two classroom building from the Fil- Chi Chamber of Commerce and Industry through the office of Cong. Henry Teves.

At present, NHS is now a complete high school with five regular teachers and four educator co- mentors catering the needs of 345 students on the record.
