Special Science Class

The Special Science Elementary School Project has the following objectives: 

• identify scientifically inclined pupils and provide them with venues, opportunities and exposures for developing necessary skills and aptitudes for entry to sciences high schools; 

• provide technical and logistical assistance to SSES implementing schools; 

• determine capacities of regular schools for implementing SSES; and 

• develop SSES program models for both the regular and SPED schools.

Pupils desiring to qualify to the SSES program should possess the following traits: 

• generally physically healthy;

• quickly recall factual information;

• has logical reasoning ability;

• inquisitive and curious;

• observant;

• has verbal linguistic ability;

• emotionally stable;

• confident;

• expresses authentic feelings;

• requires little direction from the teacher; and

• discerns right from wrong.
