K to 12 Curriculum:

The K to 12 curriculum is standards and competence based. It is inclusive and built around the needs of the learners and the community. The curriculum is done and available on the DepEd website. The Alternative Learning System (ALS) is also included in the curriculum that focuses in bringing free education closer to Out-of-School-Youth (OSY). The K to 12 system stands for "from Kindergarten to 12th grade. This equates roughly to a school age of about five (5) through to grade 12 at about the age of eighteen (18). The system is broken down into three: elementary school (K-6), junior high school (grades 7-10), and senior high school (grades 11-12).
