San Lorenzo Elementary School, Lucena City November 25 -- A total of 193 undernourished children are expected to benefit from the implementation of a nationwide School-Based Feeding Program (SBFP) according to Republic Act No. 11037 also known as the "Masustansyang Pagkain para sa Batang Pilipino Act”.
DepEd opted to distribute pasteurized milk as an alternative for the cycle menu they have given in the past year. It aims to cater to the needs of the learner amidst pandemic.
Parents involved were informed through text messages and group chats. Each adviser posted the list of beneficiaries as well as the schedule of pick-up of milk.
It was a 10-day distribution wherein ended last December 21. Learners and parents were happy and satisfied with the said program. (Crishiel Z. Pineda, EGT-I, SLES)
