Every September, Science Month is celebrated. This year’s celebration highlights the revival of "Dama and Sci Dama". The science department of SDNHS answers the call of the division office to revive these games. There was a week-long training for Sci Dama given by the game expert and enthusiast Maan LP Sheena Sinda, the math coordinator. It was helped by the active members of the science club under the supervision of Sir Jayvent Navares, the sci-dama event in charge. The training was attended by students in different grade levels. Four categories of sci-damas were introduced to the students, such as the electro-sci-dama, scinotation, THI sci-dama, and temperature sci-dama. The final game was conducted on September 22-23, 2022 at 12:00 noon in the science laboratory. The winners of the game shall be announced during the culmination of the event on September 26, 2022.
Mechanics:
Ø The player must be a bonafide student of SDNHS.
Ø The player shall show enthusiasm in playing scidama.
Ø The player shall master the basics of the game.
Ø There shall be 1 player per section.
Ø Each player shall compete with other players in their grade level.
Ø The game shall adapt the “KNOCK OUT SYSTEM”
Ø The player shall apply various game strategies (e.g. pildi gana)
Ø The player shall show sportsmanship win or lose.
1st Game -Grade 7 Level
The SciDama competition started early as the Grade 7 students entered the competition hall enthusiastically.
Brimming with excitement, the seven (7) representatives of different sections from Grade 7 level competed until only one stood among them and hailed as the winner of the said event.
Coupled with talent and luck, John Loyd B. Baba from Grade 7 Limestone won, making his classmates cheer with delight and pride.

2nd Game -Grade 8 Level

Won by default, Zyrine Grace Antipala, cheered as her opponents did not enter the competition hall during the allotted time.
A mixture of happiness and disappointment was clearly seen on her face as she wait for her opponents to arrive.
3nd Game -Grade 9 and Grade 10 Level
As the competition continues, the competitors from Grade 9 level and Grade 10 level were able to compete with full fervor as the entire competition hall was filled with their classmates sending cheers and blessings.
