Galing SiyenPi
SiyenPi is a wordplay for Siyentipikong Pinoy. This is a story-telling competition among elementary learners showcasing the contribution of a specific Filipino scientist in the advancement of Science and Technology.
Mechanics:
The contest is open to all public and private elementary learners.
This is a two to three- minute video storytelling competition for Key Stage 2 learners.
Language can be in Filipino, English, or combination.
Graphics and other video-related effects may ne used.
The story shall dwell on the life and works of a Filipino Scientist.
Time shall officially start when the contestant utters the first word of the story. There will be a 1-point deduction for every 30-second overtime from the respective judges' total score before determining the rank of the contestants.
Submission of entries shall be on September 23, 2022.
Criteria for Judging:
Content - sufficient and accurate details are presented about the scientist; specific details appeal to listeners' senses and hold their attention - 50%
Delivery - pronunciation, voice variations, and projection, pause, pitch, and pace - 30%
Body Language - poise and confidence, variety of gestures, movement, and direct eye contact - 20%

His life story, works and inventions will be shared to us by Vellie John Basinang, a grade 6 SSES student.
DR. JULIAN BANZON - A SCIENTIST SCHOLAR, PROFESSOR, AND A BIOPHYSICAL CHEMIST.
His contribution to the world of science will be shared to us by Lyca L. Amarillo of Grade 5 SSES.
BEST LESSON EXEMPLAR OF THE LEAST LEARNED COMPETENCIES
TEACHER CATEGORY
This is a search for the exceptional example of a teacher's roadmap of a science lesson covering any of the least learned competencies using the 7Es instructional model.
Categories: Key stage 2, 3, and 4
Mechanics:
This is a competition of both private and public school science teachers in Key stage 2, 3, and 4.
The detailed lesson plan shall focus on any of the Least Learned Competencies across quarters.
For each Key stage, the school shall submit only one entry per quarter.
Lesson plan shall follow the guidelines set in D.O. 42 s. 2006 entitled, "Policy Guidelines on Daily Lesson Preparation for K to 12 Basic Education Program".
There will be one winner per quarter for each Key stage.
Deadline of submission will be on September 21, 2022

BEST DIGITAL FEATURE OF THE SCIENCE CLUB MONTH CELEBRATION

Mechanics:
The school shall feature through google site the varied projects and activities carried out by its Science Club which allowed students to showcase their scientific innovation and highlight that science is enjoyable and engaging.
Pictures, videos. and appropriate textual descriptions may ne used in featuring the school's Science Club Month Celebration.

Criteria for Judging:
Content - utilization of the appropriate feature type to emphasize the impact/relevance of the celebrations, correct descriptions of the events, observance of the rules of grammar and syntax - 50%
Communicative Quality - clear and specific idea(s) or angle connected to the celebration; use of creative photography techniques to highlight the visual story - 30%
Visual Appeal - website colors, fonts, button styles, heading sizes, image style and background grab the readers' attention and create a first impression
