A dreamer, a performer an achiever! That should a person be like if he wants to change his life. The person I want to talk to you about possesses those qualities which put her into where she is now. She worked hard, struggled much and determined to reach her dream of becoming somebody.
She is no other than Cheyserr Agbayani Perucho. The first among the two siblings of Mr. Emelito Rabe Perucho and Mrs. Liezel Agbayani Perucho, residents of - Visitacion, Santa Ana, Cagayan
I know so well how this lady grew and became who she is now. I was once a part of her life during her elementary years. She was reared by a young couple whose simple living enabled them to instill in her the value of education.
She started her schooling at Santa Ana Central School and graduated with flying colors. A leadership awardee, a journalist awardee and some other academic awards, because she graduated valedictorian on the year 2003.
She was a consistent honor student, undefeatable contestant, for always tops every academic contests held. A very active member of different organizations, active school leader, and a very talented child. She was a young journalist and once won the regional level sports writing contest to the National level.
Her wisdom and talents did not make her boastful and proud, but she remained humble and maintained her stand as academic achiever during her high school life which she spent at Santa Ana Fishery National High School from year 2003-2007. Still her name was always heard announced number one whenever academic contests held. Trials came during those years, In which, this should put her down to pursue, continue on her started journey. But she remained positive and took those trials as her reason to move on , to fight and make those trials as her inspiration and motivation to reach her dreams. She performed well and never surrendered up to the last step of her journey in the secondary. She graduated Valedictorian Class 2007 with multi awards and recognition.
She enrolled college as a DOST scholar at CSU Aparri Cagayan with the degree of Bachelor of Science In Aqua Fisheries major in Aqua Culture.
Her being an scholarship grantee was proven and compensated because she always belong to the cream of the crop active member of the different organizations thus, she graduated Cum laude on March 2011.
She immediately landed a job upon her graduation for she was hired as a Technical Staff at the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Region 2 From May 2011 to May 2015.She is a PD 907 recipient which helped her to land a job easily, and continued to take series of test given by the Civil Service commission and luckily passed them. She was promoted Aqua culturist II and became the Officer In-charge OIC of Planning Monitoring and Evaluation Unit (PMEU) in the region from May 2015 to the present.
Her talents skills, and expertise in her chosen profession was more and more developed and refined. As she worked hand in hand with her colleagues. She attended various trainings up to the national level Representing BFAR Region II which enabled her to be a member of the Resource Pool of BFAR 2,and became a Regional Trainer/Speaker during trainings particularly about Aquaculture Technologies and Gender Development Matters.
She does a lot of works being an OIC of the PMEU Region II. She monitors, evaluates the implementation of BFAR projects and programs in the region. Member of the Regional Inspection Committee and personally inspects all goods and services delivered and conducted by the bureau. Prepares project proposals for funding, and yearly budget plan for the region. As an Aqua culturist, she oversees the implementation of aquaculture projects and takes part in providing solutions for issues that arise. She is also the Chairperson of the Credit Committee on BFAR Cooperative.
Commitment, dedication and her love for work made her easy in carrying out the big responsibilities and bulk of works she encounters daily. She finds herself doing a great job when she does things joyfully.
Her desire to learn more and deepen her knowledge about her course prompted her to pursue her master’s degree
She decided to enroll at University of Pangasinan with the Degree of Master of Science in Aquaculture in 2019 to 2021,and at the same time enrolled on other master’s degree which is Master of Arts in Public Administration from 2020 up to the present. And a DOST/DAP scholar online on (SPARTA PROJECT) from 2020 to the present.
She manages her time wisely so she could still attend to some other activities through voluntary works involvement. Chances, time and opportunities coupled with strong will and determination enabled her to make her dreams not just remain to be a dream but to put into a reality. Cheyser already had gone far from where she was been, but still continue soaring high, performing and never stop dreaming.
