The Department of Education's Recruitment, Selection, and Placement (RSP) system is a key element of its overall strategic Human Resource Management system. It makes sure that the organization and its workforce are prepared to respond to the opportunities and challenges of the twenty-first century with a focus on providing basic education that is of high quality, accessible, and liberating.
It is a process of sourcing, screening, shortlisting and selecting the qualified candidate for the required vacant position. This system includes policies and processes on application, evaluation, selection, and appointment for teaching and non-teaching positions
RECRUITMENT
It refers to the process of actively searching for qualified applicants for a position, observing the Equal Employment Opportunity Principle (EEOP) through advertising the qualifications for application to be screened, interviewed, and evaluated to obtain employment.
SELECTION
It is the process of screening, assessing and evaluating the applicant’s profile vis-à -vis the Qualification Standards of the position applied with the aim of producing a comparative assessment result of candidates best suited for appointment. This includes behavior event interviewing and conduct of background investigation.
PLACEMENT
It focuses on the deployment of the appointed applicant to the specific unit or station in the department where his/her talents are best suited in which he/she shall undergo onboarding program in order to learn the vision, mission and goal of the agency and the duties and responsibilities he/she is expected to perform and to accomplish.
