The Quality Assurance Division (QAD) is a key support unit of the Department of Education responsible for ensuring the quality, effectiveness, and consistency of the implementation of programs, projects, and services across schools and offices. It conducts systematic monitoring, evaluation, and validation activities to assess compliance with DepEd policies, standards, and guidelines, and to determine the impact of educational initiatives on teaching and learning outcomes.

The division plays a vital role in identifying strengths, gaps, and areas for improvement through evidence-based assessment and data-driven analysis. It also provides timely technical assistance and recommendations to enhance school performance, strengthen governance, and improve service delivery. Through its quality assurance mechanisms, the division promotes accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement, contributing to the achievement of DepEd’s mandate of delivering accessible, inclusive, and quality basic education for all learners.
