The Phil-IRI Midtest is an assessment conducted midway through the school year to monitor learners’ progress in reading after initial interventions have been implemented based on the pre-test results. It serves as a checkpoint to evaluate whether students are improving in their reading fluency and comprehension in Filipino.
Track Progress: Determine if learners have moved from frustration or instructional level toward independent reading.
Evaluate Interventions: Check the effectiveness of remedial programs and adjust strategies if needed.
Prepare for Post-Test: Identify remaining gaps before the final assessment at the end of the school year.
