In line with the effort of the local government in fighting an invisible and unknown enemy- COVID-19, the Sangguniang Kabataan Council of Barangay Tugatog headed by Mr. Navarette, a school alumnus, sprayed the school hallways, grounds, and offices with disinfectants last May 5, 2020. This is one of the creative strategies done by the LGUs in keeping the public areas somehow safe and free from viruses.
Orani National High School- Main recognizes the efforts of our valiant frontliners. In return to their heroic deed of keeping the barangays guarded 24 hours a day and seven days a week, the school offered them some refreshments. This is also a way of showing the school's gratitude and appreciation to people who are in the frontline in our war against COVID 19.
Orani National High held its annual Career Day for all the Grade 12 ONHS Main Senior High school students last January 24, 2020, Friday with the theme: Follow the Guide, Tag a Career, Like the Future! It was a whole day event filled with information, fashion, camaraderie and fun as students were engaged in different activities which would greatly help them to be more prepared for the future. The said activity was spearheaded by the Office of the Guidance through the whole-hearten effort of Mrs. Ma. Rosario R. Chingcuangco, the Guidance Counselor of Senior High School Department.
In order for the secondary public school teachers to be reoriented and equipped regarding the standards and requirements that they should attain at the end of the school year, Orani National High School - Main hosted the District Roll-out on PPST-RPMS held at the said institution at 8:00 in the morning until 5:00 in the afternoon. The participants of this seminar are the teachers from ONHS- Main, Parang-parang, and Pag- asa. Mrs. Mizti Dela Cruz from the Science Department served as the master of the ceremony. Mrs. Rochelle Galang from MAPEH Department conducted the Nationalistic Song and Mrs. Erlinda Vinzon from Filipino Department led the prayer. To make all the teachers energized in such rainy and cold day, Mr. Juanito Panlaque and Mrs. Edeliza Villegas, both from MAPEH Department made all the teachers move in a brief but fun zumba dance. To formally welcome the teacher-participants, Mr. Francisco Baustista enthusiastically greeted the teachers and told a story regarding his experiences about his childhood such helped him become a better teacher not only in teaching, but also in shaping the students to become bet ter individuals. He also reminded the teachers to be firm despite the challenges that they might encounter in the future and it was also true that there were standards that teachers must attain in order to meet the need of each student. Also, he reminded the teachers the importance of self-evaluation.
Dr. Bamba gave her opening remarks with a note on the rationale of the event.
Ms. Vina Cunanan, English Department Head, gave the orientation and the time table of activities for the two-day endeavour.
The first speaker for the day was Dr. Bamba with regards to the “Duties and Responsibilities” of Teachers. She mentioned the primary sources of her lecture as the RPMS and PDF.
The four-day orientation seminar about STAGE 2 of International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was hosted by Bonifacio Camacho National High School in Abucay, Bataan. It was attended by the clusters of Abucay, Samal and Orani Junior High School and Senior High School principals and select JHS and SHS teachers who were luckily chosen as Documenter for each learning institution.
April 23, 2019 the seminar began with a simple opening program with BCNHS acted as MOL. Everyone was welcomed by the School Head, Dr. Myrna Castillo who was so accommodating. Participants are so jolly as they render their cheers during the roll call not only on the first day but all throughout the seminar.
The discussants delivered the information as detailed as they could made it. It is almost as if everyone was given the 100% assistance as we work each day on different workshop. They ensure that we will not be burdened that much as work patiently on the required output in Stage 2 of ISO that is being a documenter for Administration, Teachers and for Ancillaries.
Systematic process in every services rendered in the school was crafted for unison of the whole cluster, in addition we also crafted different school forms so that the three school will be utilizing the same forms.
It was a successful journey towards Stage 2 of ISO and as Documenter of our respective school. The last day ended with a closing program and distribution of certificates for every participant and to the resource speakers as well.
The Filipino Department of Orani National High School-Main in compliance with DepEd order no. 42, S. 2017 otherwise known as National Adoption and Implementation of the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST) organized a LAC Session spearheaded by Marites M. Ravago on October 10-11, 2018 at DCP Lab 1, ONHS-Main.
