Orani National High School(ONHS) was established thru the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Resolution No. 141. Thru the joint efforts of Hon. Cong. Felicito Payumo, Hon. Mayor Marlo E. Zuñiga, Hon. Board Member Rod Izon, Chairman Committee of Education, Hon. Municipal Councilor Wilfredo Apostol, President Federated PTA of Orani, Hon. Gov. Leonardo Roman and Director Jaime Venag of Mt. Pinatubo Commission. ONHS started to operate (3) three years before its House Bill No. 1425 (established a National High School in Orani) was approved as Republic Act No. 8419 on November 27, 1997.
This lot, where Orani National High School stands is donated by Doña Adela Medina Mendoza thru the Sangguniang Bayan ng Orani to the Department of Education, Culture and Sports (DECS).
The site and first three buildings were blessed by Msgr. Renato Y. Manansala, Parish Priest of Orani, on November 11, 1994 in the presence of all Orani local officials and Bataan Provincial Government officials, DECS Bataan officials, Schools Superintendent Carolina B. Tria, ASDS Adoracion E. Pascasio, ONHS School Head Mrs. Crecensia Castillo, Orani PSDS Mrs. Pasciencia de Guzman, all elementary school heads and PTA Presidents of Orani and the pioneer teachers of ONHS Mr. N.R. Delos Santos, Mr. R.T. Bernales, Mrs. R.P. Gigante and Miss L. Samson.
ONHS started with 68 first year students in 1994 which tremendously increased to 665 after four years. The 68 first year students in 1994 graduated successfully in the March of 1998 with a gain of a totally 77 graduates, the pioneer of ONHS.
Students, although majority come from less fortunate families are God-centered. Good morning, Mabuhay is the password of every ONHS Family.
It is ONHS greatest dream to see her graduates successfully competing in this world of change as responsible citizens who are Maka-Diyos, Maka-Kalikasan and Maka-Bayan.
June 16, 2008 when ONHS Annex Parang-parang came into realization. After a year, its sister-school was born, the ONHS Annex Pag-asa which was inaugurated and was blessed November 25, 2009, through the effort of Principal Mr. Ramon C. Perez.
Year 2012 to May 2013 came the new principal in the presence of Mrs. Lucita L. Tanega with almost the same effort of improving the institution.
In 2013, Mr. Omar G. Magcalas, the former school head brought new possibilities in the institution such as the new school uniform; two classroom Special Program for Sports (SPS) and Special Science Class (SSC) and the widely improved school perimeter fence to new a few. Moreover, under of credible mentors and talented students escalate rapidly likewise adequate school facilities and equipment are well provided.
Presently with our new Principal Mrs. Marjua D. Trine, the faculty and staff worked together moving as one to attain quality education through quality instruction and supervision for the maximum development of the Filipino Child.
As a member of the DepEd family in Bataan, ONHS is very proud to say that its classroom teachers, school personnel; parents; school community, thru the inspiring assistance of the school head, share one principle; work on one mission – that is to make every child feel and realize his importance and help him reach the highest degree of personal development.
The school hold on its mission and vision – that providing an environment of learning where every teacher is empowered to perform his/her duties, producing God-loving ; nationalistic; environment-friendly; ICT competent; productive; competitive and work-oriented graduates.
It is the commitment of ONHS to produce very responsible citizens who remain God-fearing and God-loving graduates, who are Maka-Diyos; Maka-Tao; Makakalikasan; and Makabansa despite the modern world.
Working hand in hand on this endeavor, the school believes that it can mold a solid and strong foundation for the next generation.
