The name of the club is Youth Ministry Club (YMC) hereafter referred to as the club. The club’s goal for the school starts by leading the students of LCSINHS into strengthening their faith in God, be more aware of themselves, help other people in need and to understand the value of peace and love. Help students understand the negative consequences of their actions. Stand up for the weak and unprivileged. Lastly, influence students to become better versions of themselves (overcome negative thoughts and increase confidence and trust with ourselves).
Moreover, this club is responsible for organizing the Thanksgiving Mass conducted every first Friday of the month. This activity’s objective is for students to dedicate themselves to God and to give thanks and sacrifice for the blessing of the harvest and of the preceding years. The club also organizes recollection where Students are encouraged to participate in the Virtual Recollection prepared by the club. This activity aims to provide the students moment of prayer, reflection, and sharing to have a deeper understanding of who they are and find God's presence in their experiences.Third, the club is responsible for the Filipino Values Month. In which the club conduct the annual Filipino Values Month with different tasks and exercises to where the scholars will participate in order to achieve its objectives. The activity aims to mobilize all Filipinos for nation-building by actualizing human values in daily lives as citizens and to awaken all in the power of values and ideals in achieving the individual and national goals. Lastly, the club organizes the “Iskwento: Freedom Wall” where it is is a "continuous" creative area where students can express themselves and/or visually
communicate ideas, text, and photographs. The Freedom Wall is a privilege granted to students in the hope that its use would promote a community of respectful interaction. The Youth Ministry Club (YMC) is in charge of the Iskwento Freedom Wall, which aims to offer a safe space for student speech while also ensuring a respectful and inclusive atmosphere for the community.
Before the currently known as Youth Ministry Club (YMC) was formerly referred as the League of Empowered Advocates of Peace (LEAP). Though, the club’s purpose remains the same which is to promote peace among the students of LCSINHS. Since the school’s population Is mostly Catholic in religion, this club is responsible for organizing the Thanksgiving Mass conducted every first Friday of the month, recollections, Filipino Values Month, and etc.
The Lipa City Science Integrated National High School celebrated its annual Filipino Values Month in the month of November. The third week of November marked the start of the event's activities. For this year’s theme, “Pagpapaunlad ng pagkatao, pakikipagkapwa at panananampalataya sa panahon ng pandemya” aims to create moral awakening and national consciousness on human values that are unique, genuine, and positively Filipino.
Monthly thanksgiving mass was conducted every month to strengthen scholars “pananampalataya” amidst pandemics. The 3rd thanksgiving mass was sponsored by the Grade 9 learners and facilitated by our partner church, The Redemptorists Church, and watched through FB live. This mass was also part of the annual Filipino Values Month Celebration.
Youth Ministry Club prepared two major activities for the above-mentioned celebration. The first one is its 1st Virtual ESP Quiz Bee and “Separated by Distance but Connected by Hearts: Annual Video Message from the scholar’s OFW’s parents.
The guidelines for the ESP Quiz Bee were posted last November 17, 2021, on the YMC official Facebook page. The 1st Virtual ESP Quiz bee was held last November 24, 2021, at exactly 2:11 in the afternoon. It was facilitated by the Youth Ministry Club officers and its adviser, Ma’am Jonalyn Delica. 12 participants were joined in the said contest. We used the “Kahoot App” for the virtual quiz bee. After an hour, the top three participants announced as the winners. Abiegail Hernandez from Grade 10 Newton got the third place, followed by Ashley Silva from Grade 11 Akpedonu who placed second, and Kierzten Niamh Esguerra from Grade 8 Mendel who placed first. Certificates were uploaded in our official Facebook page.
“Separated by Distance but Connected by Hearts: Annual Video Message from the scholar’s OFW’s parents was the second activity. YMC gathered video messages from our chosen OFW parents. Mr. Buncad, Mr. Esguerra, Mr. Lalusin, and Mr. Valencia sent video messages to their children and shared some insight about this year’s theme.
Learners who received the surprise messages expressed their happiness and appreciation for the unexpected video greetings from their dad. The video was posted also on the Facebook page last November 26, 2021.
