BRIEF HISTORY

Established in 1985, the Englicom Society persists as an academic-civic, campus-wide organisation duly recognised by the Lipa City Science Integrated National High School. In all its work, the organisation aspires to refine its pillars of values: inclusivity, stewardship, and excellence.

Ever since time immemorial, it has been proactive in facilitating co-curricular endeavors; its prime purpose is to foster lifelong knowledge, skills, and values to meet the demand of time. Regarded amongst the highly anticipated events of the institution is the Annual English Camp. Of which yearly spearhead of activities uplift, empower, and inspire change into holistically-refined individuals, the organisation has ceaselessly laid the early stones of progress.

In Englicom, scholars recognize the tapestry of time which links present learning to history and modern-day landscape. Having a look through its groundwork paves opportunities to hands-on experiences, talent showcase, social interaction, and art of expression — besides honing scholars' tome of knowledge, it also engraves a sterling legacy marked by an assemblage of cultures and traditions.

HIGHLIGHTS

Parliament Hunt

The Parliament Hunt is the first ever member search of Englicom Society which grants scholars great opportunities to showcase their achievements and skills as writers. In line, the assessment will transpire as a yearly tradition to search for aspiring members of the club who can contribute meaningfully to its organizational progress.

National Reading Month

In the Philippines, National Reading Month is celebrated every November. The Englicom Society actively partakes in this is a celebration in accordance with the Department of Education memorandum as part of celebrating the diversity of knowledge through gracious moments of reading and discovering new and cherished old books. Moreover, it provides a platform to instill the significance of literacy in an individual’s overall development as they walk through the challenges of modern life.

English Camp

Englicom Society has a long history of creating high-quality learners by honing their skills in language and developing their character for the future. Preparing academically competent persons interested in the subject of English, it holds yearly set of activities in a momentous celebration known as the English Camp, an event involving fun and engaging activities that will help students improve their English skills and excel in this field. Aside from that, it will undoubtedly bring students together through collaboration and the exchange of ideas.

The English Camp persists as an integral part of learners’ curricular foundation of excellence. Thus, it envisions providing numerous advantages to scholars. The following are as follows:

1. Offer a stage to showcase and develop a plethora of talents, skills, competence, and intellectual abilities;

2. Expand the leading-edge of alternative education by offering distinctive programs, thus embracing inner discovery;

3. Establish an insightful interaction through diversity and broaden the understanding of the English language;

4. Inspire students toward partaking in life-changing grounds of experience and establish personal development which is crucial for holistic progress;

5. Help seek out opportunities to participating students that strengthen their abilities to become strong team leaders
