Jagobiao National High School formerly Jagobiao Barangay High School was established through a Memorandum of Agreement between the Ministry of Health represented by the Chief of Eversley Childs Sanitarium, Dr. Cesar J. Viardo and the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports represented by the Asst. Schools Division Superintendent Officer-in-charge, Dr. Susana B. Cabahug in January 4, 1984 as conversion from Mabini High School which was located inside the Eversley compound. It started with only one two-storey six classroom academic building, one section per year level. There were only six teachers and one school head, Mrs. Virginia C. Zapanta, now the Schools Division Superintendent of Bohol Division. It caters students from nearby barangays of Consolacion and Mandaue City, most especially the residents of Jagobiao. At present, the school is manpowered with fifty (50) teachers, one (1) school head and one thousand six hundred forty (1,640) students’ population.
