The Rincón de Investigación Científica de Don Pablo welcomes submissions from student-researchers of the STE Program who wish to contribute their studies to the growing body of scientific knowledge. To ensure quality, consistency, and integrity in all publications, contributors are expected to follow the guidelines below.
Eligibility
- Submissions are open to current STE student-researchers of Don Pablo Lorenzo Memorial High School.
- Papers must be original and must not have been published in other journals or platforms.
General Formatting
Required Sections (Based on IMRAD Template)
Title Page
Journal header (already in the template).
Paper Title (concise, informative).
Authors’ names, Grade & Section, School Year.
Abstract
A brief summary (200–300 words).
Includes the purpose, methods, key findings, and conclusions.
Keywords: 3–5 keywords listed at the bottom.
Introduction
Background of the study.
Objectives of the study.
Significance of the study.
Review of related literature (as needed).
Methods
Research design.
Materials and procedures.
Data collection and analysis.

All submissions must demonstrate respect for the rights, safety, and dignity of human and animal participants, as well as for the integrity of the environment.1. Human Participants

- Research involving human participants must secure informed consent from participants or their legal guardians (for minors).
- Studies must ensure confidentiality and privacy of participants; no identifying personal information should be disclosed.
- Projects must avoid physical, psychological, or emotional harm.
- A Human Informed Consent Form (ISEF Form 4) must be submitted with the paper, when applicable.
- Projects involving vertebrate animals must prioritize humane treatment and minimize discomfort, stress, or pain.
- Any project involving animals must follow ethical guidelines for care and use, ensuring appropriate housing, feeding, and handling.
- Studies involving vertebrate animals require the submission of ISEF Form 5A (Vertebrate Animal Form) or Form 5B (Alternate Research Form) as appropriate.
- Experiments involving microorganisms, recombinant DNA, or tissues must be conducted under safe laboratory conditions and approved by the adviser or supervising authority.
- Researchers must complete ISEF Form 6A (PHBA Risk Assessment Form).
- Studies involving human or animal tissues, blood, or body fluids also require proper biosafety handling and compliance with institutional guidelines.
- Projects that involve hazardous chemicals, controlled substances, explosives, or radiation must be conducted with extreme caution and under direct supervision.
- Researchers must submit ISEF Form 3 (Risk Assessment Form) for projects under this category.
- Plagiarism, fabrication, and falsification of data are strictly prohibited.
- Any violation of ethical standards will result in disqualification of the submission and possible disciplinary action.
- All research must comply with ISEF rules and regulations as well as school and community standards.
- Required ISEF forms (e.g., Form 1C, Form 2, Form 4, Form 5A/B, Form 6A, Form 3) must be completed and submitted together with the manuscript when applicable.

All manuscripts must be submitted through the official Google Form provided by the editorial team.

Review & Editorial Process
Submissions undergo an initial screening by the Editorial Board.Qualified papers proceed to peer review by student-editors and faculty advisers.Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts before final acceptance.Accepted papers will be prepared for publication in the journal’s digital archive.
Publication Schedule
The journal will be published once every school year, with special issues possible for research fairs or competitions.Deadlines for submission will be announced through the journal portal and school notices.

Authors retain copyright of their works but grant the journal permission to publish, archive, and disseminate the content digitally.
