Roles and Functions
The following roles and responsibilities of the School DRRM:
1. Acknowledge receipt of advisories and reminders from the school’s division office through the Division DRRM Coordinator
2. Spearheaded the conduct of multi-hazard drills, assessment, evaluation, and other critical emergencies and other disaster prevention, mitigation, and preparedness in school.
3. Ensure the conduct of annual student-led risk identification and mapping.
4. Communicate notable results of risk assessment and other disaster preparedness activities to the SDO.
5. Serve as the focal point for collaboration and coordination with the local DRRM Council and other organizations.
6. Ensure that emergency hotlines are maintained, updated, and posted.
7. Ensure the availability of baseline data of the schools and update DepEd EBEIS.
8. Spearheaded relevant and necessary capacity-building activities for the school, both for teaching and non-teaching personnel and students.
9. Report to SDO any school emergencies or hazards affecting the school community and its operations, such as floods, conflicts, fires, and others.
10. Submit situation reports and provide real-time updates to the SDO.
11. Accomplish and submit a Rapid Assessment of Damages Report (RADaR) within 72 hours after any hazards or emergencies.
12. Track report the progress of recovery and rehabilitation initiatives to the SDO
13. Report and update the SDO on the demobilization of the evacuation of schools used as temporary shelters to SDO.
