October 5, 2026 - The newly elected Teachers' Association Officers formally took their oath of office, marking the beginning of their commitment to serve, lead, and uphold the welfare of the teaching community of the SDO. The oath-taking ceremony was administered by SP Member and Chair - Committee on Education, Hon. Edmund Kierulf, who inspired the officers to lead with integrity, dedication, and a strong sense of responsibility.
October 1, 2026 - SDO Ormoc City welcomes the new set of Teachers' Association Officers, with Mr. Jimmy Sasing elected as Teachers' Association President. We look forward to a stronger partnership to better support our personnel. Congratulations!
Sept. 30, 2026. Federated PTA President Engr. Arthur Arcuino, along with FPTA Vice President Mr. Jose Manuel Horca and Board Member Mr. Elmer Libre, paid a courtesy call on Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Carmelino P. Bernadas, CESO V, to formally introduce the newly elected Federated PTA officers. The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss the federation’s plans and future initiatives to strengthen parent engagement and foster stronger school-home-community partnerships in support of learners' holistic development and educational success.
September 25, 2026 - The Schools Division of Ormoc City successfully convened School PTA Presidents through an online convergence meeting, highlighting learner safety, child protection, and the alignment of PTA policies with DepEd Order No. 13, s. 2022, to foster safer and more responsive school communities.

SY 2026-2027 Election of Federated PTA Officers
August 20, 2026 – The Social Mobilization and Networking Unit successfully conducted its 2026 Building Partnerships and Linkages Program: Enhancing School Partnership and Stakeholder Engagement. The activity aimed to strengthen collaboration among schools, government agencies, private organizations, community leaders, parents, and other stakeholders in support of quality education.DILG-CLGOO Atty. Rafunzel S. Bero also served as a resource speaker and presented various government programs and initiatives open to partnership and collaboration.
July 1, 2026 - SDO Ormoc, together with its partner agencies, held an interagency coordination meeting to plan mechanisms to ensure school safety and security.
June 24, 2026. Through the generosity of our partners from Simply Shoes and SM Ormoc, learners affected by a recent fire incident received new footwear and a renewed sense of hope.Photos of learners were shared with the consent of parents/guardians.
