LR team attends DEDP Plannning

A three-member team from theLRMS unit composed of EPS Ma. Criscel R. Negosa, Ed.D, PDO II Hernane B. Buella and SDO Librarian II Paulina S. Crescini, recently attended the Division Education Development Program planning held at Lime Hotel in Pasay City on October 9-10.
The event aimed to carefully plan project proposals for the next school year and the team collaborated on planning various projects related to Learning Resources (LR) and Library.
The LR team worked closely with other departments to develop comprehensive plans that align with the division's goals.
During the event, EPS Negosa presented the justification for the inclusion of LR projects highlighting their significance in enhancing the LRMS unit's capabilities.
FOR FUTURE PROJECTS. EPSs including our LR Supervisor Ma. Criscel R. Negosa are all laser-focused on their tasks of planning the programs and projects for the upcoming year.
INNOVATIVE EASTIANS. Mr. Buella, PDO II LRMS provides some feedbacks for the LR Coordinator of GLFJENHS during his scheduled school monitoring on October 14, 2025.
LR PDO commends GLAFJENHS LR Portal for showcasing school innovations

Project Development Officer II - LRMS, Hernane B. Buella, prasied the initiative of Gov. Luis A. Ferrer Jr. East NHS in coming up with innovative school-based LR portal which showcased some innovative ideas and contextualized materials created by their teachers.
During the visit, Ma'am Jonalyn R. Mendoza, LR Coordinator, presented the school's localized LR portal showcasing innovations related to learning resources.
Mr. Buella also provided feedback on enhancing the platform.
This visit is part of the division office's scheduled technical assistance program aimed at improving access and utilization of LR materials in various schools.

Two librarians attend pioneering research congress

Our very own Ma'am Paulina S. Crescini, SDO Librarian II and Ma'am Analiza Aviles, School Librarian from Governor Ferrer Memorial Integrated National High School attended a research congress at De La Salle Lipa on September 30 where they delved into the latest trends and advancements in library science particularly the integration of artificial intelligence.
Ma'am Crescni said the congress was very helpful especially in terms of upgrading the libraries in terms of digital services.
The research congress provides a platform for librarians to explore the potential benefits and challenges of integrating AI in libraries including enhancing library services, improving information retrieval and streamlining workflows.

Regional training equips school leaders for revised K to 10 curriculum implementations

School leaders from different divisions in CALABARZON actively took part in the Regional Training on the Revised K to 10 Curriculum Implementation held at Tanza Oasis Hotel and Resort last September 15-19 for Batch 1.
Among the participants was Education Program Supervisor for LRMS, Ma. Criscel R. Negosa, Ed.D, who joined other educators including Ma’am Josenia S. Hernando, Ed,D of General Trias City, Ma’am Aurelia A. Aguila of Batangas Province, Ma’am Lani A. Alonte of Biñan City, Ma’am Sorina P. Gloria of Lucena City and Ma’am Marites Q. Balba and Ma’am Severa C. Versola of Laguna Province.
During the training, the group worked collaboratively to craft and present a context-based Professional Development Plan and a School Leadership Masterplan.
Both outputs were designed to align with the Revised K to 10 Curriculum and were anchored on relevant tools, accurate data and stakeholders’ input to ensure responsiveness to the needs of learners and schools.

DepEd CALABARZON honors 3 Gentriseños for bringing glory to the Region

The Department of Education Region IV-A recently recognized three awardees from SDO General Trias City for giving pride and honor to the region at the national level.
The Awarding and Recognition ceremony took place on September 3 at Sevilla Resort in Lucena, Quezon City.
The three honorees were Schools Division Superintendent Ivan Brian L. Inductivo, CESO VI, who emerged as the first national winner; John Nico Behil of Buenavista Elementary School, a national qualifier; and Sherald Salamat of Luis Y. Ferrer Jr. Senior High School, a ReadEx Pick.
Dr. Inductivo's storybook, "Bakit Ako Sinusundan ng Anino Ko?", was adjudged first place at the national level in the previous year's awarding ceremony held in Palawan.
Meanwhile, Behil's storytelling of "Ang Mundong Tahimik ni Bingbing" qualified him as one of the national finalists from CALABARZON, and Salamat's "Humigit Kumulang Isandaan at Talumpung Araw" earned him the ReadEx Pick distinction for the region.
Ma. Criscel R. Negosa, Ed.D, LR Supervisor, was present at the awarding ceremony, which coincided with a regional training on Quality Assurance.
Gawad Teodora Alonso is an annual event of DepEd that recognizes individuals who create storybooks as learning materials.

Gentri Storytellers attend 4-Day GTA regional workshop in QC

Delegates from SDO DepEd Tayo General Trias City recently enhanced their storytelling skills by participating in a regional workshop on crafting stories for children and young adults, held from August 5 to 8 at the AXIAA Hotel in Quezon City.
With high-caliber resource speakers like Genaro R. Gojo Cruz and Eros Atalia, the Gentri participants gained valuable insights into creating engaging stories for young readers.
The team was composed of the Learning Resource (LR) team from SDO General Trias City, led by LR Supervisor Dr. Ma. Criscel R. Negosa, along with PDO II Hernane B. Buella and SDO Librarian II Paulina S. Crescini. They were joined by selected teacher-writers and illustrators: Sherald Salamat of Luis Y. Ferrer Jr. Senior High School, Darlene Espinola of PK2 West Elementary School, John Nico Behil of Buenavista Elementary School, Joann Palay of Santiago Integrated National High School, and Xavier Angulo of GLAFJENHS.
SDO General Trias City boosts LRMS Performance with support from top management

Looking to maximize the delivery of quality services to Gentrisenos, OIC ASDS Dr. Rogin O. Contemprato, CESE thru the office of OIC SDS Dr. Ivan Brian L. Inductivo, CESO VI, recently called for a Coordination Meeting with the Learning Resource Management Section (LRMS) team.
The meeting aimed to discuss and improve the unit's Performance Management focusing on programs, projects and activities.
During the meeting, Dr. Contemprato shared valuable insights and concrete solutions to boost the team's productivity and service delivery.
EPS-LRMS Ma. Criscel R. Negosa, Ed.D presented the accomplished projects and programs in Quarters 1 and 2, highlighting both completed and ongoing initiatives.
The team also discussed the collection and quality control of contextualized learning materials from schools, with Dr. Contemprato suggesting coordination with learning area supervisors.
PDO II Hernane B. Buella shared his plans for the year, which will be revealed once materialized.
Meanwhile, SDO Librarian II Paulina S. Crescini discussed the utilization of the SDO Library.

Recalibrated GOLD Offers New Features, Promises Better Functionality

To enhance the accessibility and utilization of learning resources, the Learning Resource Management Section (LRMS) of SDO Gentri has unveiled the recalibrated GOLD, a revamped platform with new features and improved functionality, thanks to the tireless efforts of PDO II-LRMS Hernane B. Buella, working under the guidance of EPS Supervisor Ma. Criscel R. Negosa, Ed.D.
The orientation was attended by the school LR team, composed of identified LR coordinators, ICT coordinators and school librarians from all 41 schools in the division.
Led by EPS-LRMS Doc. Negosa, PDO II-LRMS Mr. Buella and SDO Librarian II Paulina S. Crescini, the activity aimed to familiarize stakeholders with the website's new features and updates.
The top management of SDO General Trias City, including OIC SDS Sir Ivan Brian L. Inductivo, CESO VI, and OIC ASDS Sir Rogin O. Contemprato, CESE, expressed their support and commitment to the LRMS team's efforts.
Dr. Inductivo commended the team's initiative, stating that the new DepEd GOLD reflects the SDO's commitment to providing quality learning resources. Sir Contemprato, meanwhile, assured his full support for all LRMS programs and activities.
CID Chief emphasized the importance of making the new LR portal available to teachers and learners, highlighting its potential to enhance access to learning resources.
In her closing remarks, EPS-SGOD Rizza Mae Sanchez expressed her gratitude to the LRMS team for their continuous efforts in innovating and improving services for the benefit of stakeholders.
DepEd GOLD was introduced in 2020 by Ma’am Enchie Ocampo, the former PDO II, who proposed it.
DepEd General Trias City Inks Partnership with Quipper Philippines

The Department of Education (DepEd) General Trias City recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Quipper Philippines Inc., a leading provider of Learning Management System (LMS) solutions. The MOA signing ceremony was attended by top management officials of SDO General Trias, including OIC-Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Ivan Brian L. Inductivo, CESO VI, OIC-Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Rogin O. Contemprato, and SGOD Chief Dr. Ines L. Inocencio.
The partnership was initiated by Senior Education Program Specialist Leah Antonio, who played a key role in facilitating the agreement between DepEd General Trias City and Quipper Philippines Inc. The Learning Resources Management Section (LRMS) team, led by EPS Ma. Criscel R. Negosa, Ed.D, was also present at the ceremony. Mr. Hernane B. Buella, Project Development Officer II, hosted the event, which took place at the Conference Hall 1 of the SDO Building.
During the ceremony, personnel from Quipper Philippines introduced the features and benefits of their LMS platform to the participants, which included Principal Sally Genuino of Luis Y. Ferrer Jr. Senior High School and other key personnel from DepEd General Trias City. Quipper Philippines is a web-based LMS that helps students and teachers manage their school activities, particularly during online distance classes. The platform provides a range of tools and resources to support teaching and learning, including lesson planning, assignment management, and assessment tracking.
Dr. Negosa took the opportunity to clarify the quality of the learning materials being used by teachers and students on the Quipper platform. She asked if the materials were aligned with the new Matatag Curriculum, which is a key consideration for DepEd General Trias City. The Quipper team provided assurance that their platform is designed to support the curriculum requirements of DepEd and that their materials are regularly reviewed and updated to ensure relevance and accuracy.
The partnership between DepEd General Trias City and Quipper Philippines Inc. is expected to benefit students and teachers in the division by providing them with access to a robust and user-friendly LMS platform. The platform will enable teachers to create and manage online classes, assignments, and assessments, while students will be able to access learning materials, submit assignments, and track their progress.
The MOA signing ceremony marked an important milestone in the partnership between DepEd General Trias City and Quipper Philippines Inc. The collaboration is expected to enhance the teaching and learning experience in the division and support the achievement of educational goals. With the Quipper LMS platform, DepEd General Trias City is poised to take a significant step forward in its efforts to leverage technology and improve the quality of education in its schools.

The Learning Resources Management Section (LRMS) of SDO General Trias City, led by Dr. Ma. Criscel R. Negosa and Hernane B. Buella, recently held a pre-orientation meeting for potential writers-participants of the Gawad Teodora Alonso 2025 in collaboration with the KLARA FIlipino Club of Luis A. Ferrer NHS.
The activity aimed to provide orientation to produce quality manuscripts.
Dr. Ivan Brian L. Inductivo, CESO VI, OIC Schools Division Superintendent, inspired the participants with his own winning story at the national level.
He encouraged them to craft stories that are "extraordinary, simple, yet meaningful and morally valuable." He added, "Joining in this event will make us even more proud of being a Gentriseno."
Dr. Rogin O. Contemprato, OIC Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, attended the orientation to show his support for the writers and to underscore the division's commitment to nurturing literary talent among its learners
Resource speakers from the division, including Mam Paulyn Morano, Mam Aira Gonzales, Mam Soledad Colar, Sir Rommel Pamaos who initiated and proposed the event, and Sir Arnold Astareja, EPS in Filipino, shared valuable tips on writing winning narratives and poems.
The resource speakers provided insights on crafting engaging stories and poems, highlighting the importance of creativity and literary excellence.
Their expertise helped equip the participants with the necessary skills to produce high-quality manuscripts.
To conclude the event, Mr. Rommel A. Pamaos handed out free storybooks to the students courtesy of Canvas Publishing, further inspiring their love for writing and storytelling.

LRMS Team of General Trias City Attends Regional Consultative Meeting

The Learning Resources Management Section (LRMS) team of General Trias City recently participated in a Consultative Meeting for the Regional Scoping Activity held at the Monaco Hotel in Taytay, Rizal, on July 3-4. The team was composed of LR Supervisor Ma. Criscel R. Negosa, Ed.D, Project Development Officer II Hernane B. Buella, and SDO Librarian II Paulina S. Crescini.
The meeting, initiated by key personnel from the Regional Office of CALABARZON, aimed to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of LR forms, particularly for inventory purposes. The participants also discussed ways to improve the usage of Library Hubs and LR Expo. To facilitate collaboration, the participants were grouped according to emojis, each with assigned functions to improve the different forms used by the LR team across various levels.
During the meeting, an Open Forum was held to address concerns and resolve conflicts related to LR tasks. Notably, Hernane B. Buella was tasked with hosting the closing program, marking a significant moment as he welcomed the new era of LRMS.
The LRMS team of General Trias City played an active role in the meeting, contributing to the discussions and sharing insights on how to improve the management of learning resources. The event provided a valuable opportunity for the team to engage with other stakeholders and enhance their skills in managing LRMS.
