FIRST DOSE (MARCH 01, 2022) & SECOND DOSE (MARCH 22, 2022)
The Department of Education (DepEd), along with other government agencies and private organizations, expressed their proactive support to the pediatric vaccination during the RESBAKUNA KIDS: Vaccination Rollout for 5-11 years old last March 1 & 22, 2022 at Camachiles Elementary School.
The children who participated in the event received their first dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. The Food and Drug Administration has issued before the emergency use approval for the lower dosage of the said brand.
In addition, the Department already issued the DepEd Task Force COVID-19 Memorandum No. 606, stating the agency’s support to the Pediatric Vaccination of ages 5 to 11. The said issuance noted that the said vaccination drive would be an essential component of the ongoing efforts to accelerate the safe nationwide expansion of face-to-face classes.
Furthermore, all DepEd personnel, especially concerned school health personnel and information officers, are encouraged to support the vaccination drive and disseminate information to increase the confidence in immunization among children.
The Department of Education (DepEd) already recommends and authorize the expansion of face-to-face classes following the approval of our President. In line with this, our school, Camachiles Elementary School conducted a stakeholders’ consultation on the expanded phase of limited face-to-face classes to know their stand on its implementation. Reintroducing face-to-face classes to parents or guardians is a huge milestone as we are still experiencing pandemic brought by COVID-19 virus.
In this line, the school carefully and strategically plan its “Ligtas Na Balik Eskwela” School Contingency Plan as the initial activity for the forthcoming limited face-to-face classes. The school DRRM and Safety team plan to conduct a survey to parents on their approval and willingness for their children to participate in the said activity. Moreover, the school task force on the activity also plan to con duct a stakeholders’ consultation regarding this matter. Through this, the school personnel will identify each and everyone’s stand on the forthcoming expansion phase of limited face-to-face classes.
The stakeholders’ consultation also includes an orientation on what to expect on the expanded phase of limited
face-to-face classes. The eligibility of participation to the implementation was also presented. This was discuss
by Dexter S. Tuazon, the School Information Coordinator.
